Prime Minister visits Parkfield House

It was our great honour to host a visit by the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson. Laird MacKay, Chief Operating Officer at Canford Healthcare, gave a tour of our home. The Prime Minister chatted with residents and staff, and joined in with our afternoon tea. Residents, Annie Walters and Maisie Smith, were proud to tell Mr Johnson they will be 100 years old next year!

As Mayor of London, Boris Johnson was instrumental in launching the ‘Hen Power’ scheme in the capital. This project helps promote good health and well-being in older people. Hannah Wood from Equal Arts showed their work is going from strength to strength, especially here at Parkfield House.
