Since joining Parkfield House Nursing Home as an apprentice back in February 2017, Viyaya Suresh has completed her Level 2 in Health & Social Care and has continued working as a care assistant. She looks after residents… and the Parkfield hens!

She explains:
“I enjoy taking care of our residents and also have a new role as a ‘hen keeper’.
I like to make sure that our residents have regular visits and cuddles from the
hens, as they find it very therapeutic.”

Outside work, Viyaya is a keen driver. She’s recently passed her test and enjoys going for long drives. Gardening is also a favourite hobby and she works hard to make her garden ‘look bright and colourful’.
