Garden Party gets Mayor’s seal of approval

Perfect weather and perfect company made our garden party a roaring success. Our local Mayor, David Yarrow, and Mayoress Mary O’Connor MBE officially opened our bistro café, ‘The Tea Room’. Jean Claude from Care Entertainment UK kept us entertained with his fabulous foot-tapping songs. The fantastic hamper donated for our raffle by A.V.Smith & Sons raised £112.00 for the Mayor’s Charitable Trust which is helping two very worthy causes The raffle winners were:

Gillian Murray – 1st Prize
Cherry Baxter – 2nd Prize
Tony Hawkes – 3rd Prize

It was a wonderful event and Parkfield House is still buzzing with memories and chatter about the day.
