As part of our HenPower project we were invited to attend the Campaign to End Loneliness conference at the British Library showcasing the project. Residents Audrey and Joan were joined by staff Caroline and Aarti and made the trip up to London, taking two hens Cloud and Lucky with them. The event saw adult social care professionals, local authorities, charities, and researchers come together to discuss ways of combatting loneliness.

We talked to conference delegates about the benefits of HenPower and creativity and how much fun we have. Led by artist Alberto Fusco, we also made our very own spiral paper eggs (see below). Conference delegates were fascinated and wanted to know more so they could share our experiences with others! Both Audrey and Joan thoroughly enjoyed the day. Audrey said: “I didn’t think I’d ever get to visit the British Library.” Joan added: “it was nice to do something really different.”
