Residents At Parkfield Nursing Home Embark On An Exciting Air-Dry Clay Project

At Parkfield Nursing Home, we recently kicked off a brand-new creative project that has everyone buzzing with excitement – working with air-dry clay! On 13th August, our talented Activities Coordinator, Sima, led a hands-on workshop where she gave a brilliant demonstration on how to shape and design a variety of clay pieces.

Residents were curious and enthusiastic as they explored this new craft, learning techniques to mould the clay into different forms. From simple shapes to more detailed designs, it was wonderful to see everyone’s personalities and creativity begin to shine through in their work.
This is just the start of a much bigger journey. Over the coming months, residents will continue to make a whole range of clay creations – from jewellery and fridge magnets to photo frames and decorative ornaments. The ultimate goal is to bring all these wonderful works together for a special Christmas Exhibition, where families, friends, and staff will be able to admire the incredible talent on display.
It was a fantastic way to start this creative adventure, and we’re so excited to see how each resident’s ideas will unfold. Watch this space for more updates as the project takes shape!
