Piecing Together Memories: Parkfield’s Vibrant Family Tree Project Takes Root in Uxbridge

artwork project

Creativity is flourishing at Parkfield Care Home in Uxbridge as residents and staff join forces for a heartwarming upcycling project. Using leftover and incomplete jigsaw pieces, our community has begun crafting a unique “Family Tree” that captures the warmth, individuality, and unity of everyone who calls Parkfield home.

In the first session, our residents gathered around the art table to share ideas, choose colours, and design the layout. Soon, the vision took shape, a bold tree, with branches stretching outward to represent friendship, history, and belonging. Residents helped sort puzzle pieces by colour and texture, transforming what was once forgotten into something vibrant and full of meaning.

The project is more than an art activity - it’s a celebration of identity, community, and connection. Once finished, the Family Tree will proudly display photos of residents and staff, a visual reminder that Parkfield is a place where everyone matters.
